As a Fiber Artist, I try to express myself by searching for my statements from nature. My work reflects on the fleeting moments that are often not seen by the fast pace of life today and how the environment is changing. I manipulate many fiber mediums (yarn, wire, fabric and thread) to best communicate my thoughts both two and three dimensionally.
I have been working in fiber my whole life. I graduated from Buffalo State College, NY in Art Education. I have an M.S. in Art Education from Buffalo State where I studied with Nancy Belfer. I taught art for 40 years at all grade levels. I taught fibers, surface design, weaving and three dimensional design at Mercyhurst University, Erie, PA for 11 years. I also taught secondary education at Edinboro University.
I have been exhibiting and selling my fiber art in many states and internationally for 30 years.
